Psalm 7: God is a Righteous Judge

(17 verses, 2:05 to read)

What I am about to READ

A Psalm seeking refuge in the mighty arms of God.

1–6 David calls upon the on the Lord

7–10 The Lord judges the peoples.

11–13 God is a righteous judge and will judge His enemies

14–16 The wicked will experience the evil they planned for others.

David asks God to deliver him from the slander of Cush, a Benjaminite.
Confident that the accusations are false, David invites God to examine him.
David knows that if he is guilty of these accusations, then God would be just in punishing him.
David asks the Lord to vindicate him and all God’s innocent people. He asks the Lord to judge the wicked.
He is confident that God is God is a righteous judge.
God will judge His enemies, which are also David’s enemies.
David ends with thanks and praise. We can always thank the Lord, because we can be sure the Lord will answer our prayers and always show us his love.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, guard and protect me from all harm and danger, including false accusations and slander. Give me strength to endure the evil intentions of wicked men, as I take refuge in Your eternal love. Amen
